Update
April 29
Los Angeles County announced 56 new deaths in LA County due to COVID-19 bringing the total to 1,056 deaths. There were 1,541 new positive cases of COVID 19 reported in LA County. This is the highest number of new cases reported.
One reason for the higher number is the additional tests being administered; another is due to the lag in reporting new cases over the weekend: Monday’s numbers can often be lower while Tuesday’s are higher because of this lag time in reporting.
As of April 29, the total number of positive cases in LA County is 22,485, which includes 530 in the City of Glendale, 37 in La Cañada Flintridge and 84 cases in Eagle Rock.
