Narlene “Skip” Boss

Born Nov. 19, 1928, completed her life here on March 19, 2010.
Narlene Wallace Barr was born in Fayetteville, Ark. to Harold and Faye Dearing Barr. The family later made their home in Baton Rouge, La. While attending LSU Skip was a member of the PHI MU sorority, served on the student body honor court and received her bachelor degree of music. She travelled internationally as an airline hostess for TWA before marrying Kenneth H. Boss and settling in Glendale, Calif. where they raised their children Timothy, Kathleen and Sharon. Skip made her home in Huntington Beach for the past 35 years – a warm, welcoming place for all her family and friends. She knit and donated her time and handiwork to anyone who had a need. She cooked famously and never lost her gracious Southern hospitality.
Skip passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 1 at 10 a.m. For details of location and parking, call (818) 515-5898.
