Dangerous Drivers Nabbed by Cops – Cars Seized

On April 16 at approximately 4:30 p.m., a Glendale police officer observed a vehicle changing lanes at a high rate of speed travelling eastbound on the 900 block of W. Glenoaks Blvd. This section of Glenoaks Blvd. has a posted speed limit of 40 MPH; however, using a LIDAR device, the officer captured the driver’s speed at 83 MPH.
The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver, identified as 35-year-old Gevork Kesheshyan of Sun Valley, was arrested for reckless driving and his vehicle was impounded.
On April 20, officers were working speed enforcement in the area of Alma and Glenoaks Boulevard. During this time, an officer noticed two vehicles that appeared to be racing eastbound on Glenoaks. Using a LIDAR device, the officer determined the vehicles were traveling 70 and 71 MPH.
Officers pulled over both vehicles for the observed violations. The drivers of the vehicles, one identified as 18-year-old Arman Ghazaryan of Glendale and the other a juvenile, were both arrested and had their cars impounded.
With less vehicular traffic currently on the roads, drivers need to monitor their speeds and posted speed limits still apply. GPD officers continue to proactively patrol the city, enforce traffic laws, respond to calls for service and serve the community.
