As of May 1, Los Angeles Public Health announced 62 new deaths due to COVID-19 bringing the total number of deaths to 1,172; within that total number is a total of 25 deaths reported by the City of Glendale.

Public Health also announced 1,065 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number of positive cases within LA County to 24,215. This number includes 588 in the City of Glendale, 36 in La Cañada Flintridge, 91 cases in Eagle Rock, Sunland reported 99 cases and Tujunga reported 72. In the unincorporated areas of LA County, Angeles National Forest has reported one case and La Crescenta/Montrose has reported 16.
