Brush Fire Closes Interchange, Offramps

Update:

As of 4:31 p.m., the brush fire that began about 2 p.m. this afternoon has consumed approximately 75 acres.

All of Glenoaks Canyon has been evacuated. Up to the 2700 block of Chevy Chase Canyon has been evacuated. Chevy Chase Canyon is closed.

Residents who live in these areas are advised to not attempt to return home. Fire personnel needs roads clear.

Due to the brush fire Glendale, Pasadena Humane Society is offering evacuees boarding for their pets at no cost.

An evacuation center has been established at the Adult Recreation Center – 201 E Colorado St. in Glendale.

Portions of Chevy Chase and Glenoaks Canyons will be evacuated. Glenoaks School has been evacuated.

A brush fire in Glendale has the Glendale (2) and Ventura (134) freeway interchange and several offramps shut down. Firefighters are on scene.
