2400 block of Mayfield Avenue in Montrose, the windshield was shattered and the side mirror of a vehicle was damaged while parked at the location between 6:10 p.m. and 7:20 p.m.

 

May 3

600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, employees reported a man had taken items and walked out of the store without attempting to pay. Surveillance footage showed a suspect described as a male in his 40s, 5’10” tall and weighing 200lbs. He was bald and wearing clear eyeglasses, a black jacket, blue jeans and black “Nike” shoes as he entered the business. The suspect grabbed a handheld basket and immediately walked toward the cosmetic shelf. He began to grab various cosmetic items and throw them into the basket. Then he was seen running out the door of the business without attempting to pay for the items. The theft occurred at 7:31p.m.

 

April 29

700 block of Berkshire Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported that someone broke into  her home’s mailbox and stole mail. Surveillance footage revealed a white four door sedan parked on Berkshire Avenue in front of the victim’s mailbox. It appeared a person exited from the passenger side of the sedan and a few seconds later returned to the vehicle. In addition to some mail being stolen, other mail from another home was left in the resident’s mailbox. The deputy returned that mail to that other victim. The theft occurred at  4:35 a.m.

Olive Lane and Fairlawn Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, an iPad was stolen from an unlocked vehicle between 8:20 a.m. and 8:50 a.m.
