By Mary O’KEEFE

Glendale police are asking for any information from the public concerning a missing local college student.

According to police, Nancy Salas, 22, was last seen today, Wednesday, at 6:30 a.m.  when she left her residence at 2022 Eleanore Drive to go for her usual morning run up Chevy Chase Canyon.  She normally returns home in about an hour but as of 9:50 p.m. she has not returned. When she didn’t return home this morning, Nancy’s concerned family reported her missing to the Glendale Police Department.

Since then detectives and patrol officers have been on the scene. Rangers have been searching the area trails for any sign of the young woman. Bloodhounds have been deployed in the area as well as the department’s airship to help with the search.

Nancy is a third year student at UCLA and has no known family, personal or boyfriend problems.  Her keys, phone and car are at her residence.

Nancy is described as 22, brown hair, brown eyes, 5 feet and 115 pounds. She was wearing a yellow jacket, dark pants, white T-shirt and white sneakers.

Anyone with information can contact the Glendale Police Department at (818) 548-4911.
