California residents began receiving their vote-by-mail ballots in the mail this week. Every registered voter is receiving a ballot, which allows voters a choice to vote-by-mail or in person.

The vote-by-mail ballot can either be returned via United States Post Office or can be dropped at an early voting site, which are available now through June 6.

Residents can learn if they are eligible to vote, registered to vote or can update registration by visiting https://voterstatus.sos.ca.gov. To register to vote, go to registertovote.ca.gov or call (800) 815-2666, option 2. Voter registration forms are available at most government buildings, like libraries, DMV offices and at the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk office at 12400 Imperial Highway, Norwalk.

The last day to register to vote is May 23.

Once a ballot is completed and mailed or dropped off, voters can track their ballot by going to WheresMyBallot.sos.ca.gov.
