A hiker that had been missing for about 30 hours was found near North Fork in the Angeles National Forest.
“He was uninjured,” said Lt. Jacobs, Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The 57-year-old man and a friend began their hike in San Diego and had continued to the Angeles National Forest. Apparently the two friends decided to hike on their own for a while, planning to rendezvous every three hours, Jacobs said.
The friend became worried and contacted Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station when the man did not meet at the appointed time.
Personnel from Crescenta Valley, Palmdale and Sierra Madre sheriff stations responded to the search for the missing hiker, as well as Los Angeles County Sheriff’s helicopter support.
