2600 block of Mary Street in La Crescenta, money was stolen from a locked vehicle overnight.



May 16
2400 block of Shields Street in La Crescenta, someone apparently shot a resident’s vehicle with paintballs causing damage including a broken rear taillight on a vehicle overnight.

600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a loss prevention officer at TJ Maxx reported that while watching the store’s monitors she witnessed a woman carrying an empty plastic bag along with multiple items of store items. The officer allegedly witnessed the woman place the items and the plastic bag into a shopping cart.

The woman stood with her back to the surveillance camera and appeared to take clothing items off hangers. The woman put the items into the bag and tied it closed. The woman took the bag, walked out of the store and toward the parking lot. The loss prevention officer confronted the woman who pushed her and would not comply with her request to return to the store. The woman entered the passenger side of a blue, 2003 four-door Honda and left the area.

The suspect is described as black, 5’5” tall and weighing between 180 to 190 pounds. The incident occurred at 1:10 p.m.



May 15
Lauderdale Avenue and Foothill Boulevard, a 60-year-old Sunland man was arrested for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance after deputies conducted a traffic stop and found a white powdery substance resembling methamphetamine. It was also discovered there were two outstanding warrants in the man’s name.

The arrest occurred at 10:51 a.m.
