May 22

Alta Canyada Road and Olive Lane in La Cañada, a woman and her children were walking and riding five razor scooters. They stopped and left all five of the scooters on the southwest sidewalk at the location. They walked southbound on Alta Canyada Road past about 10 houses. During this time the woman noticed a white pickup truck that looked like a landscaping vehicle parked in the area near the scooters. A male reportedly exited the truck from the passenger side then got back into the truck. It then drove out of the area. About five minutes later the woman and her kids returned and found that four of the five scooters were gone.

The theft occurred at 4 p.m.

 

 

May 21

4800 block of Hill Street in La Cañada, a man reported that as he was working in his home office he heard the alarm motion sensor activate. His wife had left earlier through the garage to run errands. He walked toward the rear of his residence to check the garage and saw his wife was gone; he then heard noise coming from the master bedroom. As he walked toward the bedroom he saw a suspect, described as a male Hispanic wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with gray shorts, standing inside the master bedroom. When he confronted the suspect the resident yelled at him to get out of his house and chased him into the backyard.

The suspect ran out of the home, exited the yard, got into the front passenger seat of a gray Infiniti fled the area.

The incident occurred at 1:40 p.m.

 

 

May 19

700 block Berkshire Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, a resident discovered the internal lock of her mailbox had been broken. Surveillance footage revealed a suspect in a parked vehicle near the location. The suspect exited the vehicle, hurried over to the mailbox but was unable to open it from the front so the suspect went to the back of the box and was able to gain entry. It did not appear the suspect was able to get any mail; the suspect ran back to the back seat of the car, got in and it drove away. There is no description of the suspect.

The theft occurred at 2:43 a.m.

 

 

March 31

900 block of Bay Tree Road in La Cañada, several packages that were verified to be delivered were stolen from a home. The packages contained electronic equipment. The items were stolen between noon and 7 p.m.
