The Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy (AFC) hosted a ribbon cutting on Thursday night of a new exhibit featured in the Boddy House at Descanso Gardens in La Cañada.

“Living in a Wildlife Corridor,” which opened to the public on June 3, features the work of wildlife photographers and camera trappers, via the paint brushes and canvases of local artists. Highlighted was the ongoing contributions of the Tongva people who are attributed with “stewarding this land for millennia,” according to AFC.

Guests of the exhibition will see large-scale installations, wildlife photography, original artwork, and interactive and educational displays. These were made by artists, photographers, educators, designers and sculptors.

A ribbon cutting and preview of the exhibition was held on Thursday night. In addition to the presence of its board of directors, AFC leadership and exhibit contributors spoke to the invited guests regarding the exhibit.

Descanso Gardens is 1418 Descanso Dr. in La Cañada Flintridge. The exhibit continues through Oct. 1 at the Boddy House.
