The financial burden of higher education became a little lighter for 11 students when they received scholarships from the Crescenta Valley Town Council on May 20.
One senior from St. Francis High School and 10 from Crescenta Valley High were on hand at last month’s council meeting to receive the awards.
This year’s recipients were Zachary Robin who received the Solveig Traeger scholarship; Eric Wall, Ellis Lee and Stacy Carlos received the Lucille C. Seeley scholarship and Joseph Natalizio, Richard Ray, Allison Malmrose, Winona Bechtle, Julianan Kim, Gaianeh Avanessian and Daniel Brehm were recipients of the Crescenta Valley Town Council scholarship.
