UPDATE:

Byung Jin Choi was found on the 300 block of North Glendale Ave. The reporting party called Glendale Police Dispatch, stating he observed an elderly male in need of assistance. Officers arrived on scene and discovered it was their missing male. 

Choi was transported to the hospital by Glendale Fire Personnel for dehydration. His family has been contacted.

The Glendale Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Byung Jin Choi. The 81-year-old male with dementia and diabetes was last seen leaving home with his walker for a walk on Tuesday at 2:30 pm. Choi is not in possession of his necessary medication. He resides on the 300 block of West Stocker in Glendale.

The Glendale Police Department has alerted various transportation companies, hospitals, and neighboring law enforcement agencies to no avail.

Byung Jin Choi is described as Korean, gray hair with brown eyes. He is 5’2″ tall, weighing 150 pounds. At the time of his disappearance he was wearing light blue long sleeve denim shirt, green shorts and a blue baseball cap.
