The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning and Wind Advisory affective in the mountains surrounding the foothills.

“It is more in the mountains with winds of 20 to 35 miles per hour and gusting up to 50 [mph],” said Stuart Seto, weather specialist National Weather Service Oxnard.

The warning and advisory are in affect until 10 a.m. Thursday morning. Gusty winds are expected with low relative humidity, he added.
