Open Bible church is hosting a free car wash on Saturday, June 21 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Donations gladly accepted. Proceeds benefit Youth With A Mission.

CVCOC Hosts Golf Tournament
Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce will host its scholarship golf tournament on Friday, June 27 at Scholl Canyon Golf Course. There are chances to win a Toyota, a Baja cruise and a 40” TV, along with other great prizes!

CVCA to Host Ara Najarian
The Crescenta Valley Community Association will have its monthly meeting on Thursday, June 26 at 7 p.m. at the La Crescenta Library. Glendale City Council and Metro board member Ara Najarian is guest speaker. Discussion will include an update on the SR-710 North Extension and other issues important to Crescenta Valley residents.

Blood Drive
The Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station and Huntington Memorial Hospital are having a blood drive on Wednesday, June 25 at the station. The blood drive will benefit Huntington Memorial Hospital. The drive is from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It will be held in the front parking lot of the station at 4554 Briggs Ave., La Crescenta. Walk-ins welcome.
Huntington Memorial is the nearest trauma center to La Cañada Flintridge and La Crescenta.

Rosemont Preserve Open Gate Afternoon
Celebrate the first weekend of summer with a visit to Rosemont Preserve. The preserve is having an “open gate” event on Sunday afternoon, June 22. All are welcome to visit the Preserve and wander the trail at their own pace, enjoying the tranquil setting, the wildlife and the natural beauty. Photographers – bring your camera to capture the late afternoon light.
The gate will be open from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Friends of the Rosemont Preserve committee members will be available to answer questions.
The Preserve is located at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence. Please park at Two Strike Park, 5107 Rosemont Ave., La Crescenta. Those planning on walking the trail should wear sturdy shoes. This event is open to members of the public, suitable for all ages, and completely free. Rain cancels event. Sorry, no pets please.
