June 18
6600 block of Shady Grove Street in Tujunga, a 21-year-old Sunland woman was arrested after she was stopped by sheriff deputies driving a truck without license plates. After an investigation it was found that truck had been reported stolen. The arrest was made at 5:50 p.m.

470 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, an employee reported that someone had purchased items at the store with two fraudulent $20 bills sometime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

740 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a man was contacted by Chase Bank fraud department concerning a person who had attempted to withdraw $950 from his account without his permission. Within 24 hours someone had attempted to withdraw money from his daughter’s account in an Orange County Chase bank as well.
June 17

2300 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a man reported that he was attacked by someone outside Sakana Japanese Sushi and Grill. The victim had been performing at the restaurant and had stepped outside during a break. As he was walking back into the restaurant someone shouted at him, “I’m gonna punch you in the face.” Then the victim saw someone throw a punch from his right peripheral. He was able to step back and dodge the punch, but then tripped and fell. It was then the suspect struck the victim about 10 times with a closed fist.

Another band member noticed the attack and grabbed the suspect from behind, holding him in a bear hug. The victim was able to stand. When the suspect was released he walked away. The incident occurred between 8:15 p.m. and 8:20 p.m.

Mt. Gleason Avenue and Jayseel Street in Sunland, a 54-year-old Sunland man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession drug paraphernalia at 4:37 p.m.


June 15
2200 block of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, a resident reported that she found a backpack on her front porch that did not belong to anyone at her home. There were clothes inside the backpack along with two canvas bags but no identification. The backpack was found at 10 a.m.

800 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, two cellphones were stolen from the AT&T store sometime between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.


June 14
2300 Mira Vista Avenue in Montrose, the driver’s side window was shattered and a navigation system was stolen overnight.
