June 21
2500 block of Piedmont Avenue in Montrose, the driver’s side window was smashed and the vehicle was ransacked. Nothing was reported stolen between 2:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

June 20
4900 block of Rosemont Avenue in La Crescenta, someone stole two passports from an unlocked vehicle sometime between June 1 and June 17, reported on June 20.

June 18
Angeles Crest Highway, mile marker 47.50, Angeles National Forest, a 48-year-old La Crescenta man was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly attempted to run bicyclists off the highway with his vehicle.
According to the sheriff’s report, the victims said they were riding up Angeles Crest Highway when the man drove up beside them and began to yell profanities. He allegedly swerved his vehicle in the bicyclists’ direction causing them to move into the far right shoulder. One of the victims reported that she feared his action was an attempt to cause injury or death. The cyclists pulled over at a nearby park area. A witness reported seeing the man drive in an aggressive manner toward the cyclists. Deputies spoke to the man who reportedly said a pair of cyclists were in his lane and not being considerate of motorists driving up the ‘Crest. He allegedly pulled up to another set of cyclists and decided to confront them about their unsafe etiquette. He was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon at 9:45 a.m.
3100 block of Paraiso Way in La Crescenta, a laptop, cellphone, iPod, cash and a Coach bag were stolen from a locked vehicle. There was no sign of forced entry. The incident occurred overnight.
600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a man entered the Chevron station and asked the employee if she sold beer. The employee said no. She reported the man seemed to be under the influence of alcohol. The man took several items from a cooler and took them to the counter. They were scanned, placed in a bag and as the employee turned away for a moment the man walked out with the items without attempting to pay. The man was described as white, about 5’9”, brown hair, green eyes and weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing a baggy black T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes. The incident occurred at 3:15 a.m.

June 17
2900 block of El Caminito Street in La Crescenta, a resident reported that when she left her home all the lights were out but when she returned some of the lights were on. She noticed that a window screen had been pried open. She found pine needles on the floor entryway, which were not there when she left previously. Deputies found palm prints on the outside window. Nothing was reported stolen. The incident happened between 7:45 a.m. and 11:55 a.m.
2300 block of El Moreno Avenue in La Crescenta, an iTouch, global positioning system and personal items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.
2500 block of Orange Avenue in La Crescenta, the front passenger window was broken; nothing was reported stolen from a vehicle overnight.

June 16
2200 block of Florencita Avenue in Montrose, license plates were stolen from a vehicle reported at 4:43 a.m.
2700 block of El Caminito Avenue in La Crescenta, the driver’s side doors and quarter panels were vandalized by someone who spray-painted the entire sides of the vehicle overnight.

June 15
2400 block of Florencita Avenue in Montrose, a dark green, two-door 2002 Toyota Tacoma was stolen from the front of a residence between 4:15 p.m. and 11 p.m.

June 11
4300 block of Ocean View Boulevard in Montrose, a red 2000 Toyota Tacoma truck was stolen overnight.
