CVCA Meets Tonight
The Crescenta Valley Community Association will have its monthly meeting tonight, Thursday, June 27 at 6:30 p.m. The CVCA is a cross-jurisdictional, volunteer organization that encourages collaboration between community groups so that the Crescenta Valley can be represented with one voice.
All are invited to the La Crescenta Library community room, 2809 Foothill Blvd. (entrance off La Crescenta Avenue).

4th of July Plans
Tickets are on sale for the 4th of July fireworks event held at Crescenta Valley High School track and field (4300 block of Ramsdell Avenue). Presale tickets are $9; at the gate they are $10.
The gates will open at 4 p.m. There will be live music, inflatables and bouncies for the kids, and food trucks. The gates will close at 8:30 p.m. and then shortly after 9 p.m. the 15-minute fireworks show begins. Chief Warrant Officer Leoncavallo will be honored.
In the morning, the Sunland-Tujunga-Shadow Hills Rotary Club is hosting its annual 4th of July Parade. The theme this year is Out of This World and the grand marshal is Jennifer Trosper, engineering fellow at JPL.
The parade will start at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, on Foothill Boulevard at Summitrose Street. The parade will run down Foothill Boulevard to Sunland Boulevard. It is free of charge for both participants and spectators.

To ensure a safe parade experience, Foothill Boulevard will be closed starting at 9 a.m. from Apperson Street to Fenwick Street.
Attention Car Aficionados
Registration is being accepted for car owners interested in taking part in the 26th annual Cruise Night in downtown Glendale on Brand Boulevard on Saturday, July 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Trophies awarded at judges’ discretion. The evening will end with a free fireworks display. Live entertainment throughout the boulevard.
