The Pasadena Humane Society is teaming up with Assemblymembers Mike Gatto, Chris Holden, and Ed Chau to host a free pet adoption event. On Tuesday, July 8, the Pasadena Humane Society will WAIVE ALL ADOPTION FEES for dogs, cats, rabbits, and birds, including fees for the first round of appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, and microchips for cats, dogs, and rabbits. Standard adoption screening procedures will still apply.
Pet Adoption Day is the collaborative effort of the three Assembly Districts, which cover much of the San Gabriel Valley, and the Pasadena Humane Society, which contracts animal care services to Pasadena, Glendale, La Cañada Flintridge, Monrovia, South Pasadena, Arcadia, Sierra Madre, and San Marino. Each Assemblymember will be giving out special presents to individuals and families that adopt an animal and each elected will also have a constituent resource table to help any constituents who might be in need of government services or information.
The event is open to any person looking for the perfect furry or feathered friend and is not limited to those living within the Pasadena Humane Society’s service area or Assemblymembers’ district boundaries.
Adoptions will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Pasadena Humane Society, 361 South Raymond Avenue, Pasadena, 91105. Parking is available on site.
