Glendale Police Asking for Public’s Help Regarding Brand Fire

On June 22 at approximately 12:30 p.m., a brush fire broke out in Brand Park, causing damage to approximately 150 acres of mountain terrain. Although no homes or structures were damaged, detectives have determined through their investigation and witness statements that the three-day brush fire may have been a result of arson.

The suspects are believed to be three males in their mid-to-late teens and were last seen running to what is described as a gray sport utility style vehicle.

The suspects fled during a time when the park was occupied by many visitors and it is believed that someone may have observed the suspects as they left the area.

The Glendale Police Dept. and the Glendale Fire Dept. are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying these suspects. The investigation into this incident is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to call the Glendale Police Dept. at (818) 548-4911 or Det. Jeff Davis at (818) 548-3987.
