2300 block of Rockdell Street in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported that about 10 gallons of gasoline were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked between July 8-10.
July 9
Crown Avenue and Baptiste Way in La Cañada Flintridge, a 42-year-old La Cañada woman was arrested for driving under the influence after deputies conducted a traffic stop. The woman had allegedly driven through a stop sign without stopping. When she saw the patrol vehicle she slammed on her brakes and came to a stop in the middle of a crosswalk. There were four young boys in the crosswalk at the time. When deputies attempted to speak to the woman, she apparently had trouble understanding them. After an investigation, a vodka bottle was discovered in her vehicle. The arrest happened at 5:15 p.m.
2300 block of Orange Cove Avenue in La Crescenta, a woman reported she had gone to a pool party at her friends. She had left her cellphone on a step near the pool and had walked away from it for about 10 minutes. When she returned it was gone. The phone was discovered stolen on July 8 at 9:30 p.m.
2800 block of Sanborn Avenue in La Crescenta, a checkbook was stolen from a vehicle and a check was cashed without the owner’s permission.
July 6
500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a wallet was stolen out of a woman’s purse while she was shopping at Ralphs market. The surveillance tape revealed a woman, described as Hispanic or black, 5’2” to 5’ 5” tall weighing 120 to 140 pounds in her 20s with long black hair and wearing black sunglasses, a gray tank top and black leggings, carrying a red purse. The tape showed the victim bent over looking at something on a shelf. She had left her purse in the shopping cart. The suspect reached into the woman’s purse, took the wallet and left.
July 2
2900 block of Community Avenue in La Crescenta, a Crescenta Valley High School student reported that he had placed his cellphone in his backpack and left it in the classroom while he left during snack period. When he returned he noticed his cellphone was no longer in his backpack where he had left it between 10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.
July 1
1100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, someone vandalized the La Cañada High School bathroom. The toilet paper dispensers in the entire bathroom stall and smashed the window in the woman’s second floor bathroom of Building G. There was also wet paper towels stuck on the ceiling and walls. The incident happened sometime overnight.
