As of Wednesday afternoon, Glendale Water and Power crews continued looking into the power outage that affected 5,600 customers on Tuesday afternoon.
“We are still investigating,” said Martin Powers, GWP official. “The first outage [occurred] at 3:20 p.m. when we lost power to 5,600 customers. At 4:27 p.m. the load was restored to 3,600 customers.”
The outage affected customers in the far north area of Glendale. The origin of the problem was underground at the Montrose substation.
By 5:30 p.m. power was restored to all customers, Powers said.
Crews continue to work to find the cause of the problem.
