Los Angeles County Sheriffs from the Crescenta Valley station responded to a call at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday concerning a robbery occurring at Ralphs Market in La Crescenta.
The caller reported that several men had entered the store and an armed robbery was in process, said Sgt. Tunstra.
“When we arrived we found it to be business as usual,” he said.
Patrol units were sent to the Ralphs in La Cañada and the Los Angeles Police Department were notified concerning the Sunland Ralphs, in case the caller mistakenly identified the La Crescenta market.
All stores were business as usual, Tunstra said.
Ralphs’ customers were allowed to exit the store but new customers were not allowed to enter as a precaution. Deputies entered the store to make certain there was no danger.
The store was cleared and customers were allowed in at about 9:12 p.m.
