4000 La Granada Way in La Cañada Flintridge, a man reported that he had been hit on his right cheekbone by a wet paper spit wad. The man was walking with a friend to his vehicle that was parked in front of his home when he saw a gray Ford SUV turn onto his street. As the SUV drove by, the passenger of the vehicle threw the spit wad striking the man. The SUV continued down the street, the man and his friend got into a vehicle and followed. They found the SUV was parked in the 4300 block of Vista Place. The man asked a gardener nearby if he had seen anything. He said he saw two young men get out of the vehicle and but was not certain which house they entered at 12:15 p.m.
Foothill Boulevard and Commerce Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, an 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of hashish oil and less than an ounce of marijuana at 6:33 p.m.

2900 block of Stevens Street in La Crescenta, a woman reported that she began to receive phone calls from several people claiming to be part of companies like Publishing Clearing House, Consumer Clearing House and U.S. Sweepstakes. The callers stated the woman had won $450,000. One caller told her in order to collect that money she need to wire $5,300 to a specific address in the Philippines. The caller told her not to mention any of these instructions to anyone. If anyone asked about what she was doing with the money she was to say it was for her son.
She wired the money as instructed on Monday and Tuesday. A bank employee noticed the transaction and was concerned. The CV Sheriff’s Station was contacted at 8 a.m.
