Preparation for Glendale’s Cruise Night was in full swing on Tuesday at the Sparr Heights Community Center.
Volunteers worked with Ross Phares, the community service manager for the city of Glendale, to stuff gift bags for car owners that are participating in the annual event.
This is year 19 for Cruise Night, which is expected to see 40,000 to 50,000 visitors walk Brand Boulevard on Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. They will see about 400 pre-1979 cars as well as enjoy live entertainment from The Dukes of Doo Wop, Creedence Relived and Surfin’ Safari, a Beach Boys tribute band.
