July 20
500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, two men entered Ralphs market and walked directly to an area where Red Bull was stored. They then filled their shopping cart with 504 cans of Red Bull and exited the store without attempting to pay. The incident occurred on July 16 at 5:08 p.m.

July 18
5100 block of Alta Canyada Road in La Cañada, deputies from the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a call for service. When they arrived at the vacant home, they discovered 12 mature marijuana plants growing in the backyard. Each plant was about eight feet tall. Deputies did not find anyone in the home or surrounding area. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Narcotics Bureau detectives are investigating. The incident occurred in 11 a.m.

July 16
1600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a 22-year-old Montrose man was arrested for reckless driving and suspended driver’s license. According to the sheriff’s report, the man was traveling at 95 miles per hour westbound on Foothill Boulevard, the posted speed limit is 35 mph. The driver allegedly switched lanes causing other vehicles to brake suddenly. The driver then made a left turn onto Briggs Avenue and momentarily lost control of his vehicle. When stopped the man said he was sorry but was in a hurry because of curfew. His passengers appeared to have been drinking, he allegedly stated he was the designated driver and only had a few sips of something from a flask that was in the car. The deputy conducted a sobriety test and determined he was not driving under the influence. The incident occurred at 2:30 a.m.

July 11
2400 block of Olive Avenue in La Crescenta, a 49-year-old La Crescenta woman was arrested of suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (rock cocaine) and possession of narcotic paraphernalia. Deputies arrived at the woman’s home regarding two outstanding warrants. The deputies reportedly knew the woman as an admitted habitual drug user. They asked her if she had any “dope” on her, she allegedly told them she did have some on her bed. She told deputies they could retrieve the illegal drugs. She was arrested.
