Evacuations during wildfires are always stressful. It is important to plan ahead –knowing what to pack and when to leave are things that everyone in wildfire areas needs to know. This is especially true for those living in an area with only one-way in and out – like Briggs Terrace.
On Monday, July 29, several experts from Los Angele County fire and sheriff’s departments will be on hand to discuss proactive options for residents at the Briggs Terrace Wildfire Evacuation Meeting.
Subjects covered will include pathways in and out of the area as well as the possible installation of a warning system in the area.
Although this meeting will be focused on the Briggs Terrace area, the information is valuable to all who live in areas in danger of wildfires.
The meeting will be held at the cafeteria at Rosemont Middle School, 4725 Rosemont Ave. in La Crescenta, and will begin at 6:30 p.m. There will be time set aside for questions and answers with wildfire experts.
