The City of Glendale experienced a power outage in several neighborhoods on Wednesday morning that continued into the afternoon and early evening. For many in far north Glendale, specifically the Crescenta Valley area, the power came back on briefly after about an hour then went off quickly before finally coming back on again permanently. At about 1:30 p.m., Glendale Water and Power shared on social media that some areas had been restored while others remained without power.

Crews were working to repair a failure at a substation, according to GWP.

As of 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Glendale Water and Power had restored power to all areas outside of the boundary. Inside the boundary, some areas were still without power.

At about 3:30 p.m., GWP posted that all power throughout Glendale had been restored then about 30 minutes later several areas, including those in the Rossmoyne area, experienced a second power outage.

As of press time, crews continued their work to restore power to all areas of Glendale.
