Foothill Boulevard and Lowell Avenue in Glendale, several motorists contacted Glendale police reporting a woman described with long hair walking in the roadway in danger of being struck. Police found the 18-year-old woman from La Crescenta on Foothill Boulevard near Lowell Avenue. She was reportedly walking in the intersection across Lowell Avenue. Two vehicles driving northbound on Lowell Avenue were forced to apply their brakes to avoid hitting the woman. She allegedly just smiled and waved at the cars. As the police approached, the woman laid down on the south sidewalk of Foothill Boulevard. When the officer asked what she was doing she responded “just chilling.” When officers asked her if she knew why people were calling the police, she allegedly responded “Because they saw me do something wrong.” The officer reportedly asked what she did that was wrong and she told officers people saw her take LSD. She then allegedly told the officers she had taken LSD. After a brief conversation, the girl jumped up and began running eastbound on Foothill Boulevard. The officer grabbed her, she resisted and the officer chose to deploy his Taser. As he pulled the trigger on the Taser, one prong missed her and the other got tangled in her hair. The Taser cycled through and made a loud clicking noise, which reportedly caused the girl to yell and lay down on the ground. She was eventually handcuffed and transported to the hospital.
