Man Robbed at Gunpoint in La Cañada

A 19-year-old La Cañada Flintridge man was reportedly robbed at gunpoint while walking on Castle Road on Tuesday at about 10:40 p.m.

The victim reported that two suspects, who were also walking, approached him. One suspect pointed a handgun at the victim’s head and the second suspect grabbed a tennis racket the victim was holding and removed a cellphone from his pocket. The suspects then ran to a nearby dark colored compact car and drove westbound on Foothill Boulevard, according to Sgt. Ray Harley, Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.

One suspect was described as Armenian, 18-to-20 years old, 5’7” to 5’8”, 180-to-190 pounds and, at the time of the incident, was wearing a black shirt. The gun that he displayed had a red colored tip, which may indicate it was a replica or toy gun.

The second suspect was described as Armenian, 18-to 20 years old, 5’10” and140 pounds.
