Montrose Search and Rescue team members responded on Sunday to the recovery of a person involved in a fatal traffic accident in the area of Bear Divide Ranger Station on Little Tujunga Canyon Road. The Los Angeles County Coroner has identified the victim as Jack Kidd, 60.

Kidd was last seen by his family on July 25. Friends and family searched for any signs of Kidd or his truck.

A family member/friend found his white Dodge pickup truck with the use of a drone on Sunday about noon, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Josh Greengard.

The vehicle was found over a steep embankment.

The investigation by CHP is ongoing as to the cause of the accident.

The Office of the Coroner has stated the cause of death was blunt traumatic injury.

Kidd was a crewmember on the television program “The Bold and the Beautiful” and a member of International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local Union 33. Several members of the union assisted in the search. The Union released a statement of Kidd’s passing and thanked everyone who helped in the search and supported the family.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family with expenses. For those who would like to support the family go to https://tinyurl.com/2f878b7d.
