Drivers Identified in Accident on the 210

UPDATE 4:30 p.m.

The Coroner’s Office has identified the two people involved in this morning’s fatal car accident on the 210 Freeway near the Pennsylvania off-ramp.

Nicole Ardon, 23, from Sunland was identified as the wrong way driver. She struck a vehicle driven by James Haddid, 27, of Pasadena. Both drivers were killed. There was a male passenger in Ardon’s vehicle who survived with severe injuries. He was transported to a local hospital.

Due to the collision Ardon’s vehicle burst into flames.

CHP is awaiting the toxicology reports. Investigation into the accident continues.

UPDATE 7:45 a.m.
All lanes have reopened.

All eastbound lanes on the Foothill (210) freeway are closed at Pennsylvania Avenue until 7:45 a.m. it is estimated after a fatal wrong way driver collision.

California Highway Patrol responded to a call concerning a driver of a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the Foothill (210) freeway at 2:40 a.m.

The wrong way driver crashed into another vehicle that was traveling eastbound near the La Crescenta Avenue exit. One of the vehicles caught fire. There were two fatalities reported. The traffic collision is still under investigation and no other information has been released, according to Officer Peter Nicholson.
