The Montrose Food and Brewfest, which was originally scheduled for July 27, has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 13, 2016. The event, which highlights some of the restaurants of Montrose alongside some local craft breweries, was a huge hit last year in its debut and was met with much anticipation for the coming festival.
“There were just some issues with scheduling and trying to secure a date,” said Melinda Clarke, executive director of the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce. “And by the time we were able to secure the date, it just came to the point where we couldn’t get enough of the breweries to sign on. Right now, I have 12 to 15 secured for the March 13 date, and we are looking to get more. This way we are actually going to make it bigger and better. Our goal is to get 50 to 60 breweries to come to this event. I think we can do it all with giving us a little more time to get it.”
