California Highway Patrol has issued a SIG-ALERT for the westbound Foothill (I-210) freeway east of Rosemead Boulevard. The HOV, 1 and 2 lanes are closed due to an accident involving a big rig vehicle, according to a CHP spokeswoman.
The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and hit the center divider. At present the number 3 and number 4 lanes are open however traffic is extremely slow in the area.
CHP advises motorist to avoid the area if possible.
CHP advises alternate routes, I-605 South, to 10 West, to the 5 north, to the 2 North to return to the I-210.
Drivers can also use Huntington Drive to Colorado or Foothill Blvd as alternates.
