2200 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, the front glass door of a business had been smashed and items were stolen at 2:55 a.m.
2500 block of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle between 4 a.m. and 4:45 a.m.
Aug. 5
3100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, an employee reported observing a male adult searching through store bins located at the loading dock outside the store. The employee attempted to make contact by shouting at the man, who ran towards a locked chain-link fence. The man climbed over the fence and ran out of view. The man was described as an adult male, 6’ tall and weighing about 150 pounds.
The incident occurred at 7:28 a.m.
Aug. 4
500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported that as she was standing in line to use the ATM she noticed an adult male (suspect) standing next to her. She had withdrawn cash and was holding it her hand when the male suspect grabbed the woman’s right arm. She screamed and the suspect let go of her arm then ran southbound in the parking lot and out of view.
The suspect was described as wearing all black with a black mask. The woman said the suspect had grabbed her “pretty hard” causing a bruise on her arm.
The robbery occurred at 5:41 p.m.
2800 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, while doing an inventory inside a shed at a business a man noticed a window had been broken and items were missing. Surveillance footage revealed the suspect was a man, described as White, 6’ tall and weighing about 200 pounds. At the time he was wearing a hoodie, shorts and gloves and standing outside the store. The suspect went from that area to the business’ storage shed. The suspect broke the window and climbed inside. The suspect appeared to have stolen cups and a generator. He left and returned later, climbed back inside the shed and stole more items.
He then left the area at 5:50 a.m.
2400 block of Laughlin Avenue in La Crescenta, a resident returned from a vacation and found a door to his home was taken off the hinges and placed inside the residence. Several homes had been ransacked and a generator and other items were stolen. The burglary occurred between June 15 and Aug. 4.
Aug. 3
4700 block of Hillard Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, a rear window was shattered at a business and a security alarm was torn from the wall at a home. Several rooms were found to be ransacked; nothing had been reported stolen at the time.
The burglary occurred between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
