Aug. 14
5000 block of Angeles Crest Highway in La Cañada, several rooms were ransacked and jewelry, cash and personal items were stolen from a home. The resident reported that she had returned home to find a rear sliding glass door had been smashed sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Aug. 12
3800 block of Park Place in Montrose, various items including a power drill, battery packs and copper pipes, were stolen from an overhead storage unit in a carport sometime between Aug. 1-2.

3800 block of Park Place in Montrose, several tools were stolen from a carport. It appeared that entry to the overhead storage was made via the adjacent storage unit. A particleboard divider had been removed. The incident occurred between Aug. 6 -12.

2300 block of Foothill Boulevard and Briggs Avenue in La Crescenta, a 2002 four-door, black GMC Yukon vehicle was stolen from the location overnight.

2400 block of Altura Avenue in Montrose, a 2009 orange and black Suzuki motorcycle was stolen from the location overnight.

Aug. 10
4000 block of Orange Avenue in Montrose, a 76-year-old woman reported that she had received two messages on her phone stating, “You are going to die” followed by an immediate hang up. The phone calls were received on Aug. 8 and 10.

2700 block of Sanborn Avenue in La Crescenta, someone used a woman’s personal identification to open three bank accounts without her permission. She discovered the identity theft and reported it at noon.

4400 block of Ocean View Boulevard in Montrose, a man received a phone call from someone who reported to be from a collection agency stating the he owed over $6,000 on his gas card that was opened in 2005. He does not have a gas card with that station.
