3000 block of Stevens Street in La Crescenta, deputies responded to a call concerning a resident’s open door and possible burglary. The side door was pried open and the home was ransacked. The owner was not at the home, nothing was reported stolen at the time. The incident occurred between Aug. 8-15.



Aug. 14
Mayfield Avenue and Briggs Avenue in Montrose, a 27-year-old Pasadena man was arrested for driving on a suspended license and after further investigation was found to have an outstanding warrant. The man was arrested at 3:11 p.m.

4400 block of Oak Grove Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, several items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the La Cañada High School parking lot.

4500 block of Belita Lane in La Cañada, while a husband, wife and newborn baby were asleep someone entered their home through an unlocked sliding door. The husband reported hearing noises in the home but thought it was one of his pets. The next morning he observed items out of place around his home and handprints on the wall. He reported nothing stolen. The incident occurred overnight.


Aug. 13
Angeles Forest Highway mile marker 20.11, two cellphones and an iPod Touch were stolen and the rear passenger door window was shattered in a vehicle between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.


Aug. 12
2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a 23-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both from La Crescenta, were arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. Deputies were called concerning the two men disturbing the peace at Ralphs Market. After an investigation it appeared that both men were under the influence of a narcotic. While they were being booked one of the men allegedly admitted to smoking heroin. The arrest was made at 4:30 p.m.

Pennsylvania Avenue and the Foothill (210) Freeway in La Crescenta, a 32-year-old Montrose man was cited for driving on a suspended driver’s license.

Foothill and Ocean View boulevards in La Cañada, a 40-year-old Pasadena woman was cited for driving on a suspended license at 11:30 a.m.

Foothill Boulevard and Hillard Avenue in La Cañada, a 27-year-old La Crescenta man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at 3:17 a.m.


Aug. 11
Honolulu and Rosemont avenues in Montrose, a 31-year-old Northridge man was cited for driving with a suspended license at 9:11 p.m.

2900 block of Gertrude Avenue in La Crescenta, someone entered an unlocked residence and stole several jewelry items between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
