Nominations Sought
The Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for outstanding individuals, businesses and organizations that have made a difference in our community. Recipients will be recognized at the chamber’s annual recognition banquet dinner on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club. Dinner is complimentary for each recipient and his or her guest.

Deadline for nominations is Friday, Aug. 23.

Nominations will be taken for the categories of Man of the Year, Woman of the Year, Business of the Year, Organization of the Year, Educator of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and the Beautification Award. Explore the Rosemont Preserve!
The public is invited to come and spend a morning at the Rosemont Preserve.

An “open gate” event is taking place on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This is a chance to visit the Preserve and wander the trail – discover this wilderness area in the local community. Friends of the Rosemont Preserve committee members will be available to answer questions.

Those planning to attend should wear sturdy shoes.

The Preserve is located at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence. Parking is available at Two Strike Park, 5107 Rosemont Ave. in La Crescenta.

Free Workshop at Library
The La Crescenta Library is hosting a free legal workshop on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 2 pm. conducted by local family law attorney Vanessa Terzian.

The workshop will focus on the responsibilities of being an estate trustee and avoiding the pitfalls of estate trusteeship.

The La Crescenta Library is located at 2809 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta.
