Montrose Avenue and Ocean View Boulevard in Montrose, after a routine traffic stop a deputy discovered that a 52-year-old Montrose man had bought a false registration sticker for his vehicle and placed it on the car’s license plate. He was arrested for receiving stolen property (the false tag), having a false license plate with the intent to defraud and not having a valid California driver’s license at 3:40 p.m.


Aug. 16
2300 block of Mira Vista Avenue in Montrose, someone kicked the front door of a residence and entered. Cash was stolen between 6 a.m. and 5:25 p.m.

4400 block of Ocean View Boulevard in Montrose, a resident reported that a check she had mailed to a business had been cashed without her permission by another party.

2900 block of Community Avenue in La Crescenta, two areas of the Crescenta Valley High School were vandalized by someone who etched graffiti into wooden doors and glass sometime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

2500 block of Evelyn Street in La Crescenta, someone used a resident’s personal account information without her permission to open several credit cards.
