A suspect has been arrested after a witness contacted Glendale Police Department concerning vandalism at Montrose Travel in Montrose.
“On Sunday at 11:35 p.m. we got a call from a witness who saw a male in what appeared to be an [act] of vandalism,” said Officer Matt Zakarian.
The man, later identified as Richard Cordova, 31, was found near the area. He matched the description that was given by the witness.
It appeared the suspect had vandalized with graffiti the west wall of Montrose Travel in the 2300 block of Honolulu Avenue.
There was more graffiti at the site formerly known as The Mix in the 2600 block of Honolulu Avenue. The bar has been closed for about two years. The graffiti was discovered on the north facing The Mix sign.
Police are still investigating and although there are similarities they have not linked The Mix vandalism to the Montrose Travel incident, Zakarian said.
