600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a 43-year-old woman was arrested for taking food from a store without attempting to pay 2:08 p.m.
Aug. 17
1300 block of Green Lane in La Cañada, the third row seat was stolen from a Suburban overnight.
400 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a purse was stolen from a shopping cart at Trader Joe’s between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.
4400 block of Cloud Avenue in La Crescenta, a driver at CV Tow responded to a call regarding a truck that needed to be towed. After he lifted the truck for towing he was approached by a man described as Hispanic, 5’6” tall, thin build, with a goatee and several tattoos, and a woman described as white, in her 30s, 5’4” tall, weighing 220 pounds. The two told the driver the truck belonged to them and they wanted to ride with the driver to the business in order to pay the towing fees.
Once there the man said the fees were too high and he could not pay them. He said he would get his personal items from his truck. Later the driver noticed that the “Lock-Out Kit” used to get into locked vehicles that had been stored in his tow truck was missing and the couple had left the area. The incident occurred at 2 a.m.

4400 block of Oak Grove Drive in La Cañada, a coffee maker, two hot dog machines and miscellaneous snacks were stolen and a door and cabinets were damaged at La Cañada High School between Aug. 12 and Aug. 14
Aug. 8
2300 block of Jayma Lane in La Crescenta, a mailbox was damaged between Aug. 8 and Aug. 9.
As reported by CVW on Aug. 16 at about 7:30 p.m., according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept. spokesperson, the LASD is conducting an investigation concerning allegations of an assault at Two Strike Park.
