On Thursday at about 11a.m., Glendale police officers contacted two men that appeared to be minors out of school during daytime hours at Montrose and La Crescenta avenues.
Investigation revealed, a Glendale 18-year-old Glendale man and a 17-year-old Glendale boy. The two were walking to Montrose Park when contacted by officers. A consent search of the 18-year-old’s wallet revealed over $200 in cash.
The officer reportedly could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the man’s backpack. A search revealed a plastic bag containing what appeared to be marijuana, a digital scale and a document relating to medical marijuana.
A search of the man’s phone messages allegedly indicated narcotics sales.
The man was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana with intent to sell and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The 17-year-old minor was cited for being in possession of tobacco products (electronic cigarette and cigarette oil).
