Aug. 27
2400 block of Rockdell Street in La Crescenta, someone pried open the locking gas cap of a vehicle, damaging the gas filler pipe, and siphoned five gallons of fuel from the tank on Aug. 23 at 1 a.m.

4300 block of Belaire Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a man discovered that someone had used his credit card that was still in his possession to charge items at Walmart in Murrieta, Calif. He had not given anyone permission to use his credit information. The charges were made on Aug. 23 at 6 p.m.


Aug. 26
4500 block of Loma Vista Drive in La Cañada, someone entered a fenced area of a property under construction and stole windowpanes between Aug. 24-26.

500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, bottles of Vicodin were stolen and a plate glass window was shattered at the Flintridge Pharmacy at 2 a.m.

800 block of Milmada Drive in La Cañada, a man found that someone had used his personal information to charge items he did not authorize and open an account in his name.

1300 block of El Vago Street in La Cañada, a laptop computer was stolen was stolen from a home. The homeowner was not certain if she had locked the front door. The incident occurred between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.


Aug. 23
4400 block of Ocean View Boulevard in Montrose, cash was stolen from an apartment. A woman reported leaving the cash in a drawer before she left for a vacation. When she returned the envelope was in the drawer but the cash was gone. Three was no signs of forced entry into the apartment. The incident occurred between July 24 and Aug. 1.

2700 block of Timberlake Drive in La Crescenta, a briefcase and wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle between July 9-10.

Aug. 22
2900 block of Gertrude Avenue in La Crescenta, an iMac computer and engagement ring were stolen from an unlocked home between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.


Aug. 21
4400 block of Ocean View Boulevard in Montrose, a person reported that someone used her personal identity information to file federal taxes and to apply for a credit card.

2900 block of Community Avenue in La Crescenta, the Crescenta Valley High School library window was vandalized by someone shooting what appeared to be several pellets from a BB gun. The pellets caused the window glass to shatter. The vandalism occurred between Aug. 20-21.

400 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, the clerk of the UPS store reported that a man, described as black, six foot tall, weighing 160 pounds between the ages of 25 and 35 entered the store. He was talking on his cellphone making statements like, “What else do we need, Grandma?” while looking at items on display. He took a manila envelope from the display and turned toward the clerk at the counter. He removed a small black semi-automatic pistol from his handbag and placed it on the counter using his right hand. He allegedly said, “I’m not going to hurt you. Just give me the money.” He asked if anyone else was in the building, she said just her boss.  He told her not to set off any alarms.  She handed him the cash and he left the location through the front door. The suspect had short curly hair and was wearing a black-and-white long sleeve flannel shirt with blue jeans and blue Vans shoes. He was carrying a brown handbag, possibly a Louie Vuitton.
