Attempted Murder On A Peace Officer Suspects and Getaway-Van Still At Large.

Armed and Dangerous felony suspect, Darnell Washington, escaped from county jail in San Bernardino County with the aid of his wife Tania on Aug. 28, and is now wanted for shooting a deputy sheriff in Los Angeles County on Sunday as well as multiple carjackings.

After shooting an L.A. County Sheriff’s deputy in South El Monte Sunday morning, suspects Darnell  and Tania Washington allegedly committed multiple carjackings. The last vehicle they were seen in was carjacked in South Gate Sunday morning and is a:

The 39-year old Temple Sheriff’s Station deputy sustained non-life threatening injuries. He was treated at a local hospital and released the same day. The deputy is a 11-year veteran of the LA County Sheriff’s Department, and has been assigned to Temple Station for the past 6 years.

Suspect Darnell Washington is described as a male Black, 24-years old, 6’2,” 197 lbs.

Suspect Tania Washington is described as a female Black, 25-years old, 5’3,” 130 lbs.

The suspects were last seen in South Gate on Sunday, September 2, at approximately 9:00 A.M.

Both suspects remain at large and are considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS. If you see the suspects or vehicle call 9-1-1.
