On Thursday at about 5:45 am, two separate robberies occurred within five minutes by what appear to be the same suspects based on the preliminary investigation.
At about 5:45 a.m., an elderly female was standing at the bus stop to the front of 411 S. Brand Blvd. when a white sedan pulled up next to her. A male black exited the vehicle, displayed a gun and demanded the victims purse. The victim handed her purse to the male who then re-entered the vehicle passenger side of the car. The vehicle fled N/B on Brand and E/B on Colorado.
At approximately 5:50 am, a male victim in his 20’s was walking on the sidewalk towards the bus stop in the 500 Block of Colorado. Two males approached the victim from behind and without warning, attacked and assaulted the victim. One of the suspects displayed a gun and demanded the victims back pack. The victim handed over his backpack and the suspects fled the area.
The first suspect is a male black 28 to 30 years old, with short dark hair, medium height and thin build. At the time of the incident he was wearing all dark clothing and had a black semi-automatic handgun in his possession. The second suspect was described as a male white, 25 to 28 years old, short dark hair, medium height and thin build. At the time of the incident he was wearing a white shirt and dark pants.
The victim suffered face, leg and arm injuries and was transported to Glendale Adventist Hospital by Glendale Fire Department.
The suspect vehicle is described as a white sedan.
