Sept. 5

5100 block of Gould Ave. in La Cañada, a 2003 Lincoln Navigator was stolen from the driveway of a home over­night. A laptop computer and DVD player were in the vehicle at the time.
3100 Community Avenue in La Cres­centa, a global positioning system and CD player were stolen from a locked vehicle overnight.

Sept. 4

4900 Revlon Drive in La Cañada, a car radio and cash were stolen from a locked vehicle between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Sept. 3

4400 block of Oakgrove Drive in La Cañada, an iPod was stolen from a locked vehicle that was parked at the La Cañada High School between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
1000 block of Hilldale Avenue in La Ca­ñada, a global positioning system and a digital camera were stolen from a locked vehicle reported at 3 p.m.

Sept. 2

4400 block of Oakgrove Drive in La Ca­ñada, a backpack and briefcase were stolen and the front passenger window was shattered that was parked at La Cañada High School. In addition the steering wheel was pulled off the vehi­cle’s column and the windshield wiper activator were broken. The backpack and briefcase was later found in an­other area of the school campus. The incident happened between 7:30 p.m. and 8:25 p.m.
4500 block of Belita Lance In La Ca­ñada, the passenger window was smashed and a laptop computer was stolen from a vehicle between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Aug. 28

1000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, the rear passenger window was shattered and several personal items were stolen from a vehicle be­tween 9:30 p.m and 11 p.m.

Aug. 24

1900 block Waltonia Drive in Montrose, a global positioning system was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.
1300 block of Padres Trial in La Caña­da, a witness reported he had noticed the garage door open at his neighbors’ home which he thought odd because he knew his neighbors were not home at the time. He then witnessed the neighbors’ Mercedes backing out of the garage driven by a man described as possibly Hispanic or black, with a shaved head. The suspect drove away at a high rate of speed followed imme­diately by a red Nissan Altima that had been parked in front of the home. A description was not given for the sec­ond driver. When deputies arrived they found the home had been ransacked and several items were stolen.
