Sept. 6
Kagel Canyon Road in Lake View Terrace, a 19-year-old Panorama City woman and a 20-year-old Sylmar man were arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics for sale after the vehicle they were traveling in was stopped by deputies. The man was also charged with possession of a firearm in a vehicle, possession of a concealed weapon and possession of a loaded firearm. Occurred at 8:30 p.m.
2900 block of Markridge Road in La Crescenta, a 1992 white, two-door Honda Civic was stolen overnight.
Sept. 3
2900 block of Henrietta Avenue in La Crescenta, someone broke into a home and stole several pieces of jewelry. The point of entry appeared to be a window. The screen had been forced off. The burglary occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Briggs and Frances avenues in La Crescenta, a 48-year-old La Crescenta woman was arrested for being under the influence of a narcotic. Deputies reportedly stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The woman was a passenger of the vehicle and began “rambling random things” at the deputy as he was talking to the driver.  After an investigation the woman allegedly admitted to using crack cocaine.  The arrest was made at 9 p.m.
Sept. 2
Altura and Ramsdell avenues in La Crescenta, a cellphone and cash were stolen from a vehicle between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Sept. 1
2400 block of Frances Avenue in La Crescenta, a home was broken into and several pieces of jewelry were stolen. The apparent point of entry was a window that had a latch forced open. The burglary happened between Aug. 23-27.
Aug. 31
2900 block of Community Avenue in La Crescenta, a man reported he had left his gym bag and personal items, including his car keys, on the field at Crescenta Valley High School while he played soccer. When he returned he discovered his items had been stolen. He later found his car keys near his vehicle on the street. The incident occurred between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.
2700 block of Mary Street in La Crescenta, a 23-year-old man and an 18-year-old man both from Tujunga were arrested after their vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. According to the sheriff’s report, a deputy witnessed the 23-year-old driver steering his vehicle with his knees while he was texting on his phone. The deputy stopped the car and after an investigation allegedly discovered the two to be in possession of methamphetamine, several plastic bags, a digital scale, almost $1,000 in cash including five $100 counterfeit bills.  Deputies also reportedly found a flat screen television, a computer monitor and tower. The driver allegedly admitted to selling drugs in the La Crescenta area. During the investigation deputies also discovered a key to a motel in Sun Valley.  After an investigation more electronic items were discovered in the motel room.  The arrests occurred at 6:21 p.m.
