Today, the family of a woman who has been missing since June 5 has offered a reward of $5,000 for valid information concerning her disappearance.

Kimberly Blum, 45, was last seen at a family residence in the 2000 block of Cinco Casitas Lane in La Crescenta the evening of June 5. At the time she was wearing a black tank top and driving a silver 2004 Honda CRV, California license plate 5JVU774.

Friends and family repeatedly attempted to contact Blum the days after last seeing her, but had no response. The family contacted the Los Angeles Police Dept. – Blum’s residence is in Tujunga – on June 7.

It was believed Blum might have been in the Angeles National Forest area. The Montrose Search and Rescue team from Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept. searched a 295 square mile area of the ANF.

A Caltrans worker in the ANF found Blum’s cosmetic bag on June 9 with empty prescription bottles belonging to her and another search was made without success.

Since then family and friends have been searching the forest as well as other areas including hiring a helicopter to help in the search.

Several media outlets and social media have included information about Blum and requested help by asking for any information. There is an active Facebook account for Kimberly Blum.

Police and her family have followed every lead without success.

The reward is being offered for “solid information leading to the identification of Kimberly Blum. All information will be kept strictly confidential.”

In an earlier interview with CVW, Blum’s mother Rosalie said it was not like her daughter to be out of touch for so long. She also left her dog behind, which her mother said she would never have done if she had left voluntarily.

Blum has strong support from family and friends. She is a La Cañada High School graduate and knows the area, including ANF, very well.

Kimberly Blum is 45 years old, Caucasian with brown hair, blue eyes, 5’2” tall and weighing 140 pounds. She may be in need of medical attention.

Anyone with information should call LAPD’s Missing Persons Unit at (213) 996-1800 or the RACRA Division after hours at (213) 484-6700.
