Sept. 6

5300 block of Crown Avenue in La Cañada, a woman returned home to find her front door unlocked; she was certain she locked it when she left. The resident did leave a sliding glass door slightly open to allow her dog to go outside. Several rooms in her home had been ransacked and items were stolen including jewelry and guns.

The theft occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

 

4300 block of Encinas Drive in La Cañada, a resident reported that while he was lying in bed he heard a loud noise. He opened his bedroom door and saw a bright light in his face. He then saw two suspects run inside one of the bedrooms and jump out a rear window. The resident remembered that one suspect was wearing a black coat.

The burglary occurred at 9:30 p.m.

 

900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, two suspects entered a store and stole several bottles of liquor. Suspect No. 1 was described as a white male in his 30s who, at the time, was wearing a gray light colored shirt. He had a thin build. Suspect No. 2 was described as a male Armenian, at the time wearing a light colored shirt and blue jeans with a light beard. He had a thin build.

The theft occurred at 5:50 p.m.

 

1900 block of Verdugo Boulevard in La Cañada, the front glass door of a business was shattered and a safe was stolen from the building. Surveillance footage revealed three men who were all wearing white hooded sweatshirts that covered their faces. They were also wearing gloves. The suspects entered the location by smashing the front glass door. The suspects entered the kitchen area and stole items from the safe at 3 a.m.

 

 

Sept. 5

2700 block of Pinelawn Drive in La Crescenta, personal information was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

 

2600 block of Sea Pine Lane in La Crescenta, a man discovered several of his son’s personal items lying on the driveway. It was discovered the items had come from the son’s car. Further investigation found a backpack, iPhone and personal information were stolen from the son’s unlocked vehicle overnight.

 

 

Sept. 4

4600 block of Leir Road in La Cañada, the rear passenger window was shattered and clothing was stolen from a vehicle overnight.

 

1000 block of Valley Sun Lane in La Cañada, the front passenger side window was shattered on a vehicle at 8:32 a.m.

 

1900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, the passenger side window on a vehicle was shattered and a purse was stolen at 8:55 a.m.

 

1100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, the front passenger window of a vehicle was cracked at 8:45 a.m.

 

4700 block of Ocean View Boulevard in La Cañada, the rear left passenger window was shattered overnight.
